Cinnamon Bun Mask (That You Can Eat, Too!)

It’s seriously been awhile; I could use the excuse that I’ve been busy with my online class or volunteering, but honestly I just haven’t felt inspired to blog lately! Thankfully, now I have a lot of cool things to show you guys!

Im gonna start with this awesome concoction I whipped up the other day, what I dub the “Cinnamon Bun Mask”. You’re gonna need plain yogurt, honey, and cinnamon powder.

Just mix 2 tbs yogurt, 1 tbs honey, and 1 tsp cinnamon until you have a nice mixture like this.

Distribute it evenly on your face, and leave on for 15-30 mins. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.

This face mask is great for sensitive or acne prone skin, due to the lactic acid and the cinnamon. The honey makes it gentle and nourishing for skin in need of tlc! Also, it smells AMAZING. I wanted to leave it on all night! Plus, you can totally just eat whatever you didn’t use!

So go ahead and try this one out ☺️!

DesignsFiftyNine – Eco Friendly Beauty!

So this is pretty exciting…my Nana and cousin/aunt/kinfolk Debbie created their own store on Etsy! It’s awesome because, for a long time they’ve loved “playing with paper” in my old bedroom-turned paper room, and now they’ve finally made their very own store!

One product I really want to highlight is Debbie’s Eco-Friendly Spa Gift Set

These adorable little flowers can be used to wash your face/body, and there’s plenty of them to give to your friends! Have a spa party or sleepover! And of course, the best part is that they’re handmade with 100% USA materials.

Go check out their store! They also sell beautiful paper crafts and handmade doll clothes!

Make a Soothing Face Mask from Stuff in Your Kitchen (p.s, it’s compostable!)

Instead of going to the store and buying a premade mask, treat your face to a homemade  mask. It’s quite simple.

For this mask you will need: One ripened banana, a handful of uncooked oatmeal, and some honey.

Put the banana in a bowl and mash it with a fork until it’s soft and spreadable. Then squeeze in a tablespoon or so of honey. Lastly, take some oatmeal in your hands and run some water on it so it gets mushy. Drop it in the bowl and mix it all together!

Apply and let sit for 20-30 mins, then wash gently off with warm water. The oatmeal acts as an anti-inflammatory reducing redness while the honey and banana moisturize the skin and reduce dullness.

There ya have it! Hope you enjoy this easy mask! OH! don’t forget; if you have a compost pile, just drop what you don’t use into that to reduce waste! I’m sure the bugs and worms would love to eat it!
