Ipsy January Review!

Just a few days ago I received my third Ipsy Glam Bag in the mail! I was really excited for this one, because the sneak peeks looked like a lot of skin/hair care, which I really enjoy. Here’s everything I got…

Isn’t that bag cute?

Alright, here’s each one!

1. Soy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner

I’m always on the lookout for hair care solutions, since lately my hair has become a little blah. This stuff is pretty good I must say. All you do is spritz about 5 times in towel-dried hair, and then dry as usual. It smells yummy, like a beach cantina, and left my hair nice and smooth. I wouldn’t trade it for my Rich Premier honey mask, but it’s a nice pick me up between heavy conditioning!

2. Willa On the Go Cleansing Wipes

I’ve only had the chance to use these once, but they seem great! The wipes smells softly of lavender, and are really gentle on the skin. I used one to remove my eye makeup, and it did so without burning or irritating my eyes at all. Big plus!

3. Mica Cosmetics Lip Balm

I’m not sure what the color name for this is, but it’s sort of a mauve, dusky rose. The color looks lot more pink in the picture, but you get the idea. It’s texture and packaging remind me of Em Cosmetic’s pillow plush balm. Although a quite pretty color, mauves make me look old 😦

4. Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in Penny

When I first saw this in my Ipsy Glam Room, I thought it was an eyeshadow…nope! It’s an eyeliner actually, with a pretty interesting color, I think. As you can see the color is just like a penny. I think it looks nice on my eyes but would really pop on green eyes too.

5. Nourish Organic Face Lotion

I was expecting this argan oil and rosewater moisturizer to be a little heavy on my skin, but it’s actually the opposite! This peach colored cream is really light and refreshing, and smells divine. This would be a great Summer moisturizer since it’s so light.

6. Beauty Blender and Cleaner

My own little goodie! I got this by earning 1000 Ipsy points, which you can get by reviewing products and getting people to subscribe from your link. Thanks everyone who subscribed because of me, I really like my blender! All the reviews are true, this little pink sponge is awesome!

Thanks for reading guys, and if you want to subscribe to Ipsy, click here and take this quiz! Only $10 a month for all these goodies, trust me, it’s worth it!

I’m a huge Ipsy fan and I’m glad they went out of the pure makeup range for this bag, but I can’t help but feel a little underwhelmed this month. I got a lot of the same products you got except I got Proactive and an under eye cream. I would still choose Ipsy over Birchbox but I can hide how bummed I’ve been with the past two bags.
